Skill at Arms Training and Horse Hire
Ditchling Common Stud near Brighton in West Sussex is the leading horse riding and training establishment in the UK and has been supplying and training riders for England's Medieval Festival since the Festival began.
During the winter months, on Sundays, mounted skill-at-arms training sessions will be held at Ditchling Common Stud (DCS) Riding School to prepare people and horses (either owned by the stud or privatley owned) for next season. These training sessions can be attended by by both novice and experienced horses and riders. The purpose of the training will be to work on both riding and mounted skill at arms (SAA) weapon handling skills.
Provisional dates for events at DCS next year are as follows;
25-26 April 09- SAA training
22-24 June 09 - Summer Adult Camp (which will encompass not only skill at arms, dressage, cross countyr, show jumping, grid work, etc.)
27-28 June 09 - SAA competition
15-16 June 09 - SAA training in preperation for England's Medieval Festival
28-30 September 09 - Autumn Adult Camp
3-4 October 09 - SAA Competition
