England's Medieval Festival & Craft Fair

This year marks the Festival's 17th year! Enjoyed by over three hundred and fifty thousand visitors from around the world, it is Europe's largest Medieval Festival.

Set amidst the stunning Sussex countryside Herstmonceux Castle is just ninety minutes from London by road and a mere stone's throw from the south's major holiday resort towns of Brighton, Eastbourne and Hastings. The location, venue and content make this event popular with visitors and traders. The focal points of the Festival are the retail areas where visitors may browse at leisure excited by the many spectacular shows such as mounted Skill-at-Arms Tournaments, Castle Sieges, Archery and much more. There is ample shopping time between shows.

There is free on site camping with hot showers available only for participants or, if you prefer, hotel-type accommodation in the grounds. The food & beer tent will be open each evening with a wide range of hot food and live music.

A single trade space for all three days, situated within a marquee or outside is just £180.00. A £50 deposit (with no VAT to pay) will secure a space for you until 16th July, by which time the balance must be paid. Book today via the web site - see 'Retail Form'. Now available for 2009 – An ‘early booking discount’* is available to those wishing to book and pay a deposit before 28^th February 2009.  A sizeable saving of £25, making the booking fee for the 3 days only £155 (single trading space).

* Offer only available up to and including 28^th February 2009.  Trader’s application forms received after this date will be charged the standard booking fee of £180 per single trading space.

We boast this is the most authentic Festival of its kind in the country and the public has high expectations. In order not to disappoint and to add to the fun, we require that everyone participating dress in medieval style and we encourage all points of sale to adopt a medieval theme. We will offer ideas and suggestions to help you achieve suitable attire!
